Who is Jason Shaw?

A professional DJ and live musician. Someone who has a passion for music and how it can have a profound impact on the mood of any event. Most of my life (besides my family!) revolves around music whether it be in the classroom, at church or performing at an event. My wife, Leah (professional vocalist and musician) and I share the same passion and strive for excellence in any musical avenue that we are involved in. 

My live shows include rock of all ages, pop, country and basically whatever you want to hear. I use a loop pedal to create thick musical layers. Brandon Kling, a Garrett County native, joins me regularly playing percussion and back up vocals.

 I received my Bachelor's in Music Education and Master's in Technology Education. I have taught music in Maryland public schools since 2004. I am currently the band director at Southern Garrett High School. I am also the Music Director at Crossroads Church in Deep Creek Lake.  Through the years I have sang and played guitar and bass in several bands including Tuesday in October, Jason and Brian, Blue James Band, Kenny Jones Band and Savage Road. 

My wife, Leah, and I have two beautiful boys, Gibson and Elwood. After teaching and performing in Baltimore for many years, we decided to raise our children in Garrett County, MD and love it!

I use QSC and JBL professional speakers along with Serato Professional DJ software through a MacBook. I play through Taylor acoustic guitars and TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 for looping effects.
